Past events, workshops and meetings of the Multi-Story Water project…

Sat 7th-Sun 15th July – was Big Dance Week
(a national celebration of dance) and Multi-Story Water kicked off the project’s performance development with creative dance workshops for the Stapleton Rainbows leading up to the end of term. We will be carrying on in September with the Rainbows, Beavers and anyone else who wants to get involved with our final performance!

Sat 30th June, 12-4 – Glenfrome Summer Fair
Multi-Story Water made some boats and did some river drawing during the school’s summer fair.

There are more pictures of the fair on the school’s webpages.

Multi-Story Opening Arts Workshop, 16th June

A day of river-themed arts and crafts activities including a launch of miniature boats down the Frome. See our blog and photos from the day.

Bristol Festival of Nature, 16-17th June

Multi-Story Water had an exhibition stand at Bristol Festival of Nature, the UK’s largest free celebration of the natural world. We collected some written and audio narratives about rivers, but overwhelmingly popular was our river wallpaper (we filled nearly three rolls!) on which everyone enthusiastically drew or wrote their water-themed memories, thoughts and doodles. Some of these are shown in the gallery below…

Community Stakeholder Meeting, 23rd May

As the project was getting started, we met with members of the community to gather initial thoughts, ideas and requests for how the project should unfold, as explained in our blog and photos.
